Your language study stay in Liguria can count on a school that is young and active but at the same time boasts forty years of experience in teaching Italian: the ABC school was founded in Florence in 1982.
A safe school
In this strange time, the cleanliness of the rooms and the health of our staff and students are especially important. In order to prevent the risk of infection, the school abides by the Italian government’s recommendations regarding Covid-19 (social distancing, proper room ventilation, masks, sanitising hands and rooms). The ABC Schools in Florence and Sestri Levante, as members of the Association of Italian Schools in Italy ASILS, adhere to the safety protocols which you can consult via this link: https://www.asils.it/en/safe-schools-asils/
Learn Italian in small groups
At the ABC School in Sestri Levante, we have chosen to focus on the quality of teaching and learning of the Italian language, to this end our classes are made up of a maximum of 6 students (4/5 on average).
Native and specialist teachers
All of our teachers are native Italian speakers and are specialized in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. Attentive and passionate about their work, they know how to stimulate their students and encourage them in the use of the Italian language until they become completely independent.
A direct teaching method
The teaching methodology used by the ABC Italian language schools for foreigners in Sestri Levante and Florence is based on 40 years of experience. From the very first day at school, Italian is always spoken in class and students learn to use the linguistic tools provided. Courses are divided between grammar, where you learn the rules and acquire the necessary linguistic tools to speak, and conversation, where students can put their skills into practice, learn new words, practice reading, listening and much more.
Learning materials published by the school
The grammar books used in Italian language and culture lessons are a fundamental resource for learning the Italian language and are published by the ABC school. They include many Italian exercises as well as a theory section where students can find the general rules of the language that the teacher explains in class. A product of our long experience, the books are periodically updated on the basis of the current needs of our Italian classes.
The ABC Italian language and culture centre in Sestri Levante (Genoa) offers a wide variety of courses, from which you can find the one that best suits your needs.
